Beagles being fostered through The Beagle Club of NSW
(Updated 1/7/08)

These are older beagles that have either been surrendered to the Club because their owners (for a genuine reason) have to quickly find a home for them or have been rescued from a Pound or Shelter and are now being fostered by through the Club. These beagles will have been vet checked to ensure they are in good health and are fully vaccinated and will also have spent some time with their foster families to determine their suitability for adoption.

A huge than you to our foster families - without you the Club could not help these beagles. If you think you might be interested in helping out with short-term fostering then we would love to hear from you. Please contact the Rescue Co-ordinator for details (click on link).

Ellie
Updated 26 June 2008

THIS GIRL WAS RESCUED FROM BLACKTOWN POUND.
SHE HAS BEEN NAMED ELLIE AND IS NOW WITH A FOSTER FAMILY
SHE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AS SOON AS SHE HAS BEEN ASSESSED.

Please contact rescue@beagleclubnsw.org.au if you are interested

Beagle female, 9 yrs. This little girl is a real little darling. Just adorable. She is not bouncy and is very quiet. She is in with a big Shepherd. When she initially came into the pound, she had a slash and a flap of hanging skin on her left cheek and a sore left front leg but she has healed beautifully. She is your typical, older laid-back Beagle.

Occasionally there are older puppies & adult beagles available FOR SALE by Club members. They will have been bred by Beagle Club members and are registered with the DogsNSW (have papers), are microchipped, wormed, fully vaccinated and in some cases, desexed. If not desexed, the breeder will require you to have the dog desexed at the appropriate age, as they are not being sold for breeding.

Owner's comments :

Charli is a lovely playful and friendly dog. She is certainly out of the puppy stage and was never a digger. She enjoys lots of company, walks and playing but also enjoys sunbakes. She likes being a part of what is going on. She is prone to getting excited at new visitors but quietens down fairly fast once she is used to new people. She follows basic commands ie sit, drop, stay. She likes to explore outside her yard off her lead, but will come back when encouragingly called but needs to be walked on a lead. She would enjoy the company of a family with lots of time to give her or another dog for company.
